Inside Russia’s Push for an ‘Equal Partnership’ With Africa

Moscow says it wants an “equal partnership” with Africa as it invites journalists to see Russia firsthand.

During a media programme organised by the African Initiative News Agency in Moscow, Russia, the agency’s Editor-in-Chief, Artem Kureev, told MakanDay’s Gibson Zulu that Russia was seeking to expand its partnerships with African countries, including Zambia.

Kureev said Moscow was interested in strengthening cooperation across sectors including infrastructure, energy, mining, defence and education, as part of what he described as Russia’s commitment to building an “equal partnership” with Africa.
