This is Kasempa Road

From the Solwezi–Mufumbwe junction, this vital route lies in ruins — riddled with potholes, choked with dust, and posing daily danger to the communities that depend on it.

But this is more than just a rural road. It is a strategic transport corridor, carrying Zambia’s copper from North Western Province mines for export through Namibia, while also linking the province to Western Province via Kaoma.

Ironically, the area’s Member of Parliament is also the Minister of Labour, Brenda Tambatamba. How can workers thrive, rural economies grow, and national wealth move smoothly when such critical infrastructure is left to crumble?
