We are happy to unveil the finalists for the highly esteemed MakanDay Eminent Prize for Investigative Reporting this year! The candidates are Ennety Munshya, Zanji Sinkala, and Womba Kasela. A distinguished panel of independent judges, featuring veteran journalists Joan Chirwa (FPI Founder), Newton Sibanda, and Chishaba Masengu, devotedly evaluated the submissions and meticulously narrowed down the selection to three outstanding candidates.
The grand prize for the overall winner is a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art laptop, while the two runners-up will each be honoured with a three-month fully funded internship at MakanDay. The winner will be announced tonight during a ceremony at Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
